I hate my current branch! It is making my life a miserable hell! With my F-4 visa, am I able to pack up my bags and leave? I'll be looking for a new job, but I'm scared of any consequences(punishments) doing this. Can anyone give me any insights!!!! Greatly appreciated
Thanks |

An F4 visa is a resident visa for people with Korean ancestry. Not a work visa. You are free to work where and when you please according to immigration.
Did your school pay for your flight over to Korea? You might have to pay them back for your airline ticket if your contract says so.
Also, you will lose out on any severance payment you might have gotten if you completed 1 year there.
Who is paying for your apartment? You or the school?
How long have you worked there?
Check your contract for how to terminate the agreement.
You are free to quit at any time. But you might face some penalties (i.e. paying back airfare). Also, your boss might not pay you for any days you worked up until the day you quit. This is illegal, but that doesn't stop bad bosses from doing it. You might have to make a claim against him in the labor board.
One other thing to consider is who will cover your classes between the time you quit and the time your school replaces you. If you are tight with your coworkers it might not be fair to them to dump the extra work on them if you quit without giving notice. |

It's been a month already. Would it be a problem to secretly leave without any notice? |

I don't know. You didn't answer any of the questions I asked you except for how long you've worked there. |

why secretly quit? you got an F4 visa, take him to the labor board and get the money you are owed. Your boss can't force you out of korea. If you are going to stay here for another job then just quit, find another job, etc. |

You are on an F4. Your status will not change if you quit.
Just get paid, tell you boss you quit and leave.
There is NOTHING he can do about it other than piss and moan into the wind and issue a mouthful of idle threats.
