Anyone found it? I see tons of "middle eastern" street foods but they all give the big deer eyes when I ask about a fluffy Falafel. Please help! Confused

Silk Road in Hongdae has good falafel. It's just up from Frisbee on the main road up to the gate, opposite Dos Tacos. Took me ages to find it, it's in the basement.

I just went by Silk Road and it was closed. Also, the last time I went, they had changed the name to Little Dubai. Anyway, it's gone.

The Foreign Food Mart on the Hill in Itaewon often sells it in their fridge. I grab hummus and falafel there and put the other fixins' together at home- not amazing, but not half bad either.

You can get some falafel mix here for $4.16 a box.
http://www.iherb.com/Search?kw=falafel

If it's your 1st order with this company you can get a $5 discount by using this code: COC920

Then it won't cost you anything except for a very inexpensive shipping rate.

Cheers.

PS. It'll get here in 4 days and you can track all the way to your door.

You can't be serious... that restaurant was the worst dining experience of my entire stay in Korea. This place had birds flying around inside, and when I ordered a soup, it clearly tasted like Campbell's canned soup (it even had the same things in it, canned veggies, like green beans). There was no mistake about it: canned soup.

As for the falafels there! Don't even get me started!!! They were straight out of a freezer bag (clearly they were frozen) and not to mention over-deep fried. When I complained to the guy about the poor quality of food, he didn't defend his food at all or ask any questions. He seemed to almost agree!

Anyways, that place is gone for a reason! Good riddance! Laughing

A bit harsh mate. Having lived and travelled in North Africa/Mid East, I don't think the food in Silk Road was that bad at all.

Sorry to be so harsh on the place, but maybe it was just the night I was there. I dunno. But my harshness was deserved. The guy manning the restaurant didn't seem in command, so maybe it was the main guy's night off or something.

The only other place in Korea I would totally put down just as harshly was that Greek restaurant across from the park in Hongdae. An atrocity.

We just had (cheap!) falafel at Namdaemun Market this weekend. There is a little halal stand fairly close to the subway station.

Hoehyeon Station (Subway LIne 4), Exit 5.
