I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction for some resume advice. I found out you have to pay to view the resume of others, but I was hoping to get some general advice on formatting and content. Thanks,

MS-office and just use the wizard.
It isn't rocket science and chances are the person reviewing your resume won't understand the fine nuances anyway.

1. Keep it short
there is nothing more off putting than a rambling 3 or 4 page resume that encompasses everything from working at McDonald's at the age of 16
2. Section it
create clear sections with subtitles, also it helps to vary the font somewhat, use bold and italics where necessary.
3. focus
focus only on the job you are applying for and list skills and work experience that is relevant.
4. Make it pretty
dont use crap looking font or an unorganized style. If it looks like a child completed it, it will probably end up in the trashcan. |
