				| I was wondering how helpful an online TEFL course is when applying for a hakwon job? I have 1 year of public school experience, but I have not been having any luck with finding a new job this summer. I wondered if it would be worth it to do one of the online courses quickly to get another line on my resume. |

				| It's marginally helpful getting a job and possibly getting a few hundred bucks added to your monthly pay. However it's helpfulness in an actual Korean classroom is debatable. |

				| All the recruiters seem to ask about it and I think it would help get a job if you are looking in a more competitive area. It won't trump experience, but it will help. I won't hurt, so if you have the money, why not? |

It wouldn't hurt if you have time and money to do it.

Debatable, so hardly decided.

It depends on where you take it and how much you invest in the work. I am of the opinion that any self-development is potentially good, but again, it comes back to the teacher/tutor, the course and you. Choose carefully and put in the work and then it will be helpful both monetarily and professionally.

Years ago I did an online certificate from Ical. Not the best program perhaps, but I did meet a great tutor and I will say that at the time when I took it, the work was certainly helpful. |

US $190 for the 100 hour course w/o tutor support. |
