Frankly, I'd love to get my hands on one if they are, but can recall if
buying/selling them is ok or not. |

Dude. I would go nuts with one of them if I'd had one when I was in Seoul. So much fun to get back at some of the jerks on the trains...hehehe |

Why not just get your hands on a butterfly knife? Or a metal pipe? |

Stun Guns, Pepper spray, etc. are illegal in Korea. Your best defense is to not get yourself into a situation where you are going to need to defend yourself. Korea's very densly populated, and given the drinking culture you'd be hard pressed to find a time or a place where you are going to be alone. |

To taze people.
"How are you?"
"I'm (dzz), thank you"
"Why are you not married?"
"Well I am. I'm married to my tazer (dzz)."
"You're fat."
"You're incapacitated (dzz)."
"How old are you?"
"I'm (dzz dzz dzz)."
"Do you like kimchi?"
"Yes, I love kimchi (dzz)."
"Where are you from?"
"I'm from tazerland (dzz)."
"Do you like Korean women?"
"(dzz)."
"How much do you make?"
"Each time I taze you adds up to how much I make an hour. Are you ready (dzz)?"
"Do you know Dokdo?"
"Do I know Dok (dzz) what?" |

Someone gave you wrong information. Pepper spray is not illegal here. What makes it illegal is if the device delivering it is an aerosol or not. If it's a pump spray system (obviously less effective), then it's fine. |
