second comment on the video says it all. i've been teaching in korea awhile now, and I haven't come across many students like this

Oh, Korea.
Anyways, as for her experience abroad and what she thinks of it, it's great. I like this new younger generation... their eyes are so much more open than their parent's (and not just surgically!). I really think all Koreans need to get out of Korea and see the world outside of it.
I'm still in contact with approx 50 Korean and Japanese students who I taught in Canada, and stayed for like 6 months to a year. They are all quite changed from their experience, and in a positive way. But most of them do seem a little sad, these days, when I talk to them.. They really miss that freedom, mainly the 'mental freedom' they enjoyed abroad. To date whomever they want, to think how they want, and for the girls, to not act all cutesy for the men. And the boys equally liked dating girls who could think for themselves. To break outside of perceived social norms and just be yourself, to become more of an individual. That's what they tell me all the time.
Anyhow, think I'm gonna show this one to my students. |

| My favorite memory of Koreans back home enjoying being abroad was watching some college-aged couple drunkenly stumble around campus. The girl let out a MASSIVE belch in public and her and the dude both just laughed about it as they headed off towards their apartment for a fun time. This was at like 9 PM too, in a campus filled with other Koreans. |

Oh my god, so much wrong with your grammar.
No ellpises after "God", they are not grammatically correct.
Your second sentence is all wrong; it should be "Grammar Nazis are all in here", you had no verb and up is used inappropriately.
Thanks is not spelled with an "x". Your next sentence does not begin with a capital letter and the one following it has no period (and I think you hit the caps lock key by mistake).
"that sh** cracked me up" is not capitalized at the beginning. You are also using vulgar slang; your students should not be hearing that language.
Your last sentence is a mess. It should read "So are you going to correct my grammar again, Freddy?" "u" and "gonna" are not words, Freddy is not capitalized, and while a comma isn't necessary before Freddy, it makes the sentence flow better.
Overall, you get F's for your English ability. All of your students must be horribly educated by your presence and I will be calling your schools to complain. |
