You watch it, people? That's the way it's done, nice and proper.

I had ESPN Classic for years and loved watching some of those old school basketball games. Apparently there aren't too many NBA fans here though, too bad. I missed the game but I'm not too upset about it, as the Mavs and Heat are literally my two least favorite teams in the league (the former generally being my teams whipping boy since Cuban took over).

I guess I'm happier that Miami didn't win, as Wade is one of the most overrated players in the league IMO: Drives and flops like a punk on minor contact (more than the norm), got carted off crying in a wheelchair after dislocating his shoulder (I've suffered the same injury multiple times-- bush league), calls himself D3 though he can't shoot 3's (yes, I know it's his number, but still), and ALWAYS tops the league list in turnovers, despite not being a PG. Yes, I understand he scores a lot (from the foul line), is relatively clutch, and an amazing athlete, but I can't stand the guy or the city he plays in. He did tear it up in Beijing though, and I'm sure the Heat will win another championship. I only hope the number is not 7 more. Kidd kind of deserved a ring, but it was a lose-lose for me to pay these finals any attention.

Luckily, it is only your opinion.

Luckily for who? Care to refute any of my statements? And by the way, I never doubted that he is one of the best guards in the league scoring-wise, but as far as his efficiency is concerned, extremely overrated. Ever played fantasy basketball?

Lebron himself ended up coming off as being overrated, 'specially in the 4th quarter, peeps callin' him LeChoke these days apparently (ouch).

Personally I think anyone who gets that hyped from high school lacks a certain toughness learned through a more regimented/disciplined college program. Yeah people'll point to Kobe and I'll admit he's an exception, but his character comes off a bit weird for me as well, like kinda narrow and not well-rounded.

Here's another vintage classic for anyone who cares for it, cheesy of-the-era production values intact-

Priceless banter between the announcers, they're professionals yet not "corporate", still got that "organic" feel about them.

Then upgrade to this-

Classic interview at the beginning, makes you remember an era before we got so mixed-up in Iraq and all-out jihad, before "bling" was common lexicon, thuggery and the gangstas weren't so out and out admired (I feel like these latter aspects of culture have influenced people like Lebron in a negative way, so he and others get caught up in "da life" to the point where they pull off stunts like "The Decision").

Finish with a happy ending from back in the day with some old school flavor-

Just turned this gem up. Biased officiating but helluva hi-octane game. Make sure to watch to the final buzzer.
