Hey Australians (or any other nationality with the answer), what did you do regarding the noterisation of your degree?
From reading these forums it seems the copies need to be noterised by the Korean consulate. Is that correct? Or did you just take them to a justice of the peace?
Also, did you have to do the same thing with course transcripts?
cheers,

Hi I'm Australian and have just finished this whole process so can help you
You need to take a copy of your degree to a public notary (who will probably be a solicitor). They will check the copy against the original and then put a seal on it. It cost me about $70. Once you have a seal on the copy, take it to the department of foreign affairs for an apostille... I think this was another $60.
Once it has the notarisation and the apostille, you send it with all of your other docs to the school.
I didn't need transcripts... I'm not sure why.
Feel free to message me if you need any more help. |

Just did it myself from here. Got my relative to take my original parchment to my university with a signed letter from me stating that I need my degree copied and notorized. How much did it cost for that? Nothing.
Then took this to the DFAT office in the city and got that Appostille for $60 |

Whereabouts are you?? I recently had my stuff done in Sydney.
Notarized copy of my degree was $50 and took both CRC and copy of degree to DFAT and had them apostilled for $60 each page.
Was fairly quick, easy and painless! |

I went this route. Notarising of the copy was done by my uni and at a cost of nothing.
DFAT has a list of people for each uni that can sign the document. They gave me a copy of the list, I went to the uni found one of the people on the list, he signed the copy, I went back to DFAT and then they began the apostilling process. Got the criminal check apostiled at the same time. This didn't need to be notorized as long it was the original and came from the Federal Police.
I did this late last year in Sydney. |
