I've been with my public school for almost ten months now, and a few weeks ago my co-worker handed me a Korean document to sign, explaining that it was asking for my permission to have the school check to see if I am a sexual predator. I submitted my (clean) background check from the U.S. before I arrived in Korea, so I'm not sure why they are asking me to do this now. I signed the paper because Ithink it porbably would have been pretty creepy had I declined, but I keep wondering what the deal was. Any thoughts?

It's probably so they can check your record from while you've been in Korea.

It doesn't sound official (from the gov't) so probably a few parents raised a stink over some obscure issue to the principal and this is a way to solve it.
