My friend wants to teach in Korea, but he has a gf in Thailand. Should he tell the agency or the interviewer about this or lie? If he tells this information, will it hurt his chances of getting a job there? |

Your "friend" probably needs a Korean wage to pay for his girlfriend. This post is so dumb |

I'm not sure I understand this. Why would he reveal this info. If his girlfriend was dutch/greek/american etc would he feel the need to tell recruiters? What's your point? |

Just to see if it is a factor in him being hired. If he says no and they found out that we does have a gf, then would they refuse to hire him? Nationality does not matter, i am not sure why i said that part.

It depends how they view the housing situation I guess. Personally, I think its none of their business. My gf is from Japan and I am opting to throw down my own key money to avoid any hassles and get a nicer place. I dont think there would be any though. No one from the school has ever been to my apartment anyway. Certainly, dont offer any more information to schools or recruiters than isn't asked of you. |

He can't bring the G/F to Korea until they are married so it is a non issue.
There is no G/F visa for her to come to Korea.
Since she can't come to Korea and can't live with him here the employer won't care if he has a G/F in another country.
He can go and visit her on his holidays.
