To get word on an offer?

I just completed a phone interview and haven't heard back from "my" recruiter.

The person I talked to was a rep for the school and seemed nice enough. But it was a very stiff conversation and I could get no good vibe going with this person. It was a little bit like talking to a robot. Anyway, I'm getting the feeling that they may have passed on me.

I didn't expect an immediate offer but thought that I may have a response within 24 hours?

Any thoughts or similar experiences would be appreciated.

Inside a week is pretty standard for a response (positive or negative).

They may be comparing a bunch of applicants for example.

Well, I got word that I have an offer but no contract yet?

I'm a bit older than the average candidate and don't seem to be in that much demand. LOL

We'll see. Smile

Thanks
