Does anyone have suggestions on a good place to have a picnic in Seoul? Ideally, I'd like to stay in the northern part of the city.
Thanks for ideas. |

Good suggestions. I will check them out. It is for a birthday picnic with about 10-15 people. We may stay into the evening, so I want a place that can be nice at night, too.
Thanks for the help! |

by the banpo bridge is good. it's got the rainbow fountain at night and there's a lot of space for a big group. there's also a family mart in the park if you need to top up on snacks/drinks.
short ride to gangnam/itaewon also if you want to continue the party elsewhere. |

Oh, man - I'm LOVING these ideas! I went out and bought all of my gear today (plates, cups, a mat, etc.), but I think I'm going to have more than one picnic now. I don't have time to go research all of these sites in order to be able to give good directions to my guests, so I will have to do it again.
Thanks everybody! Sunday is going to be a good day for a picnic ... |

One is almost spolit for choice in northern Seoul for pretty areas that are off the beaten path, for example: http://i54.tinypic.com/b8pncg.jpg
But Namsan and Bukhansan National Park are the most obvious and probably best suggestions. |
