|
|
Anyone own an IPad 2? I just bought one and was disappointed to learn that there was no Korean Language input support. In addition, there aren't any usable/good Korean Input apps available at the App store.
How do Koreans in Korea use the IPad 2? I understand that there are some good Korean Input apps on a jailbroken IPad 2, but I don't think a reliable jailbreak is out yet for the latest OS release. Any help would be appreciated. |

| If it's anything like the iphone/ipod touch you should just be able to add a language in the settings menu. |

From Apple's Web Site:
http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/
Korean is supported as both a system and input language, which means your unit is either broken or you are doing something wrong.
Thus far, what have you done to try and access the Korean input function? |

Have you tried Settings/General/International/Keyboards and then selected "Add New Keyboard"?
It seems like you do not have the Korean keyboard activated under this setting. Once you do, you should see English and Korean listed under the Keyboard setting.
Then, when you are in an App that supports typing, you should see a key with a globe icon on it (to the left of the space bar). Hit that key to switch between English and Korean.
If you have already done this or if you do this and it does not work, something is wrong with your unit and you'll need to take it to the service center.
Good luck. |
