I just found out that I got accepted by EPIK today. I've been looking for my recommendation letters and I can't find one of them! Sad Would it be OK if I sent in another recommendation in place of the missing one? Or am I out of luck? What a way to ruin the good news...

You can't make one up and sign it yourself?

Print it out and send it back to the recommender and have her or him redo it. I think you'll have to do that. Those letters have to be on organizational letterhead and in an envelope with organizational heading on it, and there should be a signature over where the envelope is sealed and tape over the signature.

Next time just scan your documents in color. Can just print it off and sign it yourself. Even the envelope.
