I'm sure this topic has been discussed to death, but I couldn't find a concise answer so I'm just asking again. I'm currently teaching in Korea and have already gone back to the USA one time to get documents and apostilles. Must I do this every year? Immigration should have documents on file. I understand getting a new CRC, but stuff like my transcript and apostilled degree don't change. I don't exactly have the money to go back home every year just to get a stamp. Any advice how to do this? |

IF they have an apostilled FBI check on file AND an apostilled copy of your degree on file you do NOT need to do it again unless you change your visa.
You can transfer without the need to re-document.
It has been said (but yet untested) that people with said documents on file will be good for 10 years even if they do change visas (for change of employers). I would NOT depend on this unless you are prepared to go without employment should things go awry.

By changing visas, do you mean changing the visa type or going with a new employer (but still being an E2 holder)? I plan to go with a public school next time but I will most definitely continue to be an E2 holder. |
