hi all,
if any of the forum experts could please advise about the typical book preparations for a public school...
is it common for several classes to use the same book thereby reducing your book preparation requirements?
if a normal schedule is 22 classes per week....how many different books would a teacher typically be required to prepare?

Depends on the distribution of classes. However, you can make your workload a lot lighter by doing some simple things. Decide what you want to teach, then make an easy and difficult version. You can use the easier version for younger students and lower level with older students. Use the harder one for advanced younger students and older students who are at an "average" level for their age. You can also use them in one class. When you teach group the good students and bad and teach accordingly.
You may need to prepare different vocabulary suitable for each age group. |

If there's not a required textbook, Goddamn don't use a conversation textbook! Especially not at a public school, where you'll only have to make 1-4 different lessons per week.
