|
|
In the past month, I haven't been able to download any torrents. My ports are forwarded correctly--not sure what the problem is.
I ran the glasnost test on Google and it says my traffic is being shaped by SK.
Anyone else having this problem?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks. |

I recently started having the same problem. SK is also my provider, so I'm assuming we are screwed. However, I did use a trial from a VPN site and was able to download. |

Yep. Only way around it is to use a VPN like Astrill, and forward the ports through it. SK has blocked off all but local trackers, apparently. Same problem here, but I get around it with the VPN. |

Dang. That is a harsh reality.
Good thing I'm a member of LueLinks
EDIT: That's odd... some of my private trackers still work. Pubs/Demonoid are gone though |

You wouldn't be willing to share an invite to the mysterious site that does not exist, would you?
The only tracker I have found that works is TvTorrents, all other trackers I've tried (public and private) don't work. |

Sorry. Already have a line of 6 friends in line for invites. And the invite system was changed so that I have to earn 80 "points" to invite ONE individual. I've uploaded about 12 albums/TV shows to earn a grand total of 9 points, lol. |

I have been having this problem for about a month now too. I am very seriously annoyed. I had been happy with SK up to this point. Internet was always fast and they had decent channel selection on their IPTV... but this is a total deal-breaker. My contract with SK ended a few months ago so I think I might as well switch. Since I've been using SK for years I'm not really sure about the other options though.
Are any other providers messing with torrent traffic at all?
Which provider would you recommend? I want the fastest speed I can get and the ability to download torrents without any interference. Price is only a minor concern.
Also, I think it might be worth making this a sticky or something to warn other users... If you're interested in using torrents do not even think about signing up with SK Broadband! |

I switched to Olleh-KT-Skylife HD (yes, it's all one package) a couple of months ago and have never been so impressed with a TV/internet/landline package in my 10 years in Korea.
The internet is fast and reliable. With LAN and wireless........utorrent is fully connectable and never seems to get throttled. 10mbps is common.
The TV channel package is way and by far the best available in Korea. Off the top of my head there seems to be about 10 documentary channels in English!! Plus all the big English news channels and the all-important EPL coverage. Lots more good stuff I won't bother listing.
Total cost is a little more than the rest.....65,000 pm I think......but I think it's worth it. |

I've heard that for both home broadband and cellphone 3g, higher paying customers get better internet speeds here. That might be what is going on. |
