I have just landed an adult class teaching adjumas once a week starting this Friday.

I had been led to believe that there was a textbook already in place.

However the guy running the program told me today that it is up to me to come up with the material.

I suggested American Headway. That was all I could think of.

Anyone got any good suggestions?

***I know this question has probably been asked many times before***

I just finished my CELTA certificate and we used Face 2 Face for teaching elementary level. It was easy to follow and create good lessons from.

Adjumas will not likely want to use a textbook that much, you can try it, but don't stick to it too closely.

They probably will want to spend time just chatting about whatever.

Unless you get one of those "English nazi types" in the class.

If they are really low level, you might want something like a graded reading series or something, with a lot of discussion questions afterwards.

Good luck
