Yes, I do visit Itaewon, from time-to-time. It has pluses and minuses, but I still stop there. Today I was meeting someone and we did the rounds.

1) Stopped at the convenience store across from the Hamilton to buy a phone card and some chocolate. To be specific, I bought Ritter Sport White Whole Hazelnuts and Ritter Sport Strawberry Yogurt. These are German chocolates I would recommend to everyone. Try them.

2) Then, I went to IBK to wire some money after payday. The IBK across from Taco Bell is open on weekends for wiring money. That's all day Saturday and Sunday.

3) We met and went to Evergreen for the Indian bufet, which is 18,000 per person. Evergreen is straight down that street with Taco Bell on the left side, and you just walk a few blocks on that same side of the street. You can't miss it. It's on the second floor. The buffet is wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone. We had a great lunch.

4) We stoped at Taco Bell for some tacos to go. I was full from lunch but I love getting tacos to go with packets of hot sauce. That's some good eating. You know what I mean.

5) Then we walked another block and came to the Chocolate Chateau. That's a great place to get a chocolately dessert.

5) Then we went to the Red Door but she wanted too much for the Pop Tarts. We left without buying anything. Some of you must be overpaying for things at the Red Door. Remember, you can haggle with her.

6) Then we went to the Foreign Food Mart where I bought some groceries, including some of the hummus from the back refigerator. It's great and I would recommend it to anyone. It's in the back of the store, towards the middle of the store. The container looks small but it is some great hummus. That has become a great store and a "must see" part of Itaewon.

7) Then we went to the Salam Bakery where we bought some baklava. Wow, what a nice ending for our time in Itaewon.

As we walked towards the Itaewon subway station we saw the huge banner for Jsters Pies that will soon be open in Itaewon. Does anyone know when it will open? Thanks.

How was your day in Itaewon?

Nope. Get out and enjoy Korea. You are spending too much time alone in your apartment. Laughing

All this guy/girl posts about is food. Costco food. Itaewon food. Junk food.

You can deny you're fat, but no one believes you.

I'm fine thanks.
I guess I just dont equate enjoying Korea with gorging on foreign food & bakery desserts.

Yeah, get out and enjoy the beautiful Korean countryside and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Rolling Eyes

Easy on, old man. There was nothing in his post to rag on other than you perhaps not liking Itaewon or the idea of not going native 365 days a year.

OK I probably shouldnt have entered this thread at all. I enjoy western food too but I'm obviously not a foodie like the OP. I apologize. I'll shut up now.

Hit up the phone card store. Go to the foreigner store and buy salt, spices and some oatmeal. Check out some jerseys and/or other clothes. I like to go after 1pm on Sundays when the street vendors have rolled out of bed and set up shop.

this is honestly the first thread by OP ive seen that wasnt about the food at costco. Just out of curiosity why do you live in korea if youre spending most of your time looking for, discussing, and consuming western food?

That's funny - out of all the Asian people in Canada who obsess over Asian food, it never crossed my mind to ask one of them why they live in Canada.

Why do millions of Chinese live in North America, yet eat only Chinese food?

How would he be able to answer that considering that he is not a Chinese person living in North America?
