Noooooooooooooooooo! Not Technomart!!!!
But the article leaves so many questions...
Technomart is adjacent to the building the article is talking about... now did they both shake? Technomart only has 11 floors, the office building next to it may have 39.
"One merchant working on the 20th floor of the Prime Center told rescuers that she felt dizzy, adding she left the building with the other staff as soon as the shaking stopped."
What, the people waited the entire 10 minutes and had to be ordered to evacuate? They left AFTER the shaking stopped? Whatever happened to common sense? How do they imagine to evacuate in case of fire - wait for the fire to burn out and THEN leave?
"But Prime Development argued the skyscraper has never failed previous safety checks, saying that nothing abnormal was reported, Tuesday, besides the minor shaking."
Everything that has ever failed had passed at least one inspection prior to disaster. Sampoong (?) Department store, that bridge over the Han river, the Fukushima nuclear plant... they all has passed the *previous* safety inspections...
"According to Prime Development employees, it is normal for the building to shake to some extent as a multi-cinema complex screens 3D movies all day long. Also, a sports center located on the 12th floor has been causing a significant level of vibration throughout the structure as loud music is played there."
The movie theater is NOT in the 39 floor office tower, neither is the sports center. The rest is just too silly to make more fun of it - 3D causes vibrations? And what is the point of "all night long" (not true!) if the event happened during office hours?
Someone needs a few slaps in the face to make them talk sense! |

It may be the rainy season, but I predict the shops in Technomart are going to face an economic drought. |

The second article, what does the author mean by saying "There is no use crying over spilt milk"? Seems to me to be the wrong metaphor. Or does he really mean "Move on, nothing here, no need to worry"?
And they still mix up the 11 story mall with the 39 story office building. |

Did anyone find out why the building shook? Or did they decide it was a "mystery" and resume operations as normal? |
