My girlfriend is interested in Korean classes, so I'm wondering what options are available here. We live in the Haeundae area.
I hate to start a new thread for something like this, but the search feature just craps out with every attempt I've made. |

They used to offer Korean courses at the YMCA in pusanjin.
PNU also offers Korean courses (well they did last time I checked).
You can also find private tutors who can teach her Korean. |

I would definitely recommend KLIFF. The lady's name is Jenna. She runs classes in PNU and Haeundae on a number of different days.

I heard that they had free classes at some kind of community center. I've been offered a job at SLP in Haeundae have you heard anything about it? |

They do not teach Korean with the Busan accent/dialect. They teach "standardized" Korean.
If you want to pick up that accent/dialiect, you need to work at it as well as be already somewhat comfortable with the language. |

There's a newly-opened Busan Global Center for foreigners along with a help center and possibly low-cost Korean classes at City Hall. The name escapes me but it's on the top floor of National Pension Service building adjacent to the City Hall easily found on a city map.

Jenna is the best Korean teacher Ive ever had. Not only does she have fluent English, she has great understanding of western culture, has traveled alot. One of the most interesting Koreans youll ever meet. She can teach you dialect if you want, but she speaks and teaches in standard Korean. Shes also a Ivy League graduate here. Make no mistakes. Shes the best.
and shes from Seoul... |
