Hi peps, I was wondering what places you hate the most in itaewon and the reasons behind your fire.

I personally think that Always Homme has to be the worst place on the planet. I didn't even know that it was a "special" bar, but after meeting the tools who work there I kinda figured it out. They not only overcharged my card (over 100,000 won) they also just wouldn't let me enjoy my date (girl). Rolling Eyes

3 Alley Pub.

They are very rude to you if you don't drink quickly and get the heck out.

Pancho's: Is this spaghetti sauce in my burrito?

Helio's/Gecko's: too many scary muscular dudes

Ditto that 3 Alleys staff is rude, though I admit that I still go there occasionally.

My vote would be for Equus (gay club).

3 Alley hands down. (Also Nashville tried to charge me W1.500 for water though I had beer too and Geckos have a thing for chipped glasses).

Basically anywhere that bases it's business on people coming only once is always gonna suck, but 3 Alley go out of their way to be jerks.

Dang, and I liked that German style pub. It's gone down hill? Maybe on a week night I can go chill and not be rushed. Never in Korea have I been rushed to drink up, pay up, and get up outta there like in Thailand so many times. Not even at 3 Alley did they ever treat me this way though they are attentive to your half to quarter full glass, but not too annoyingly so like common in Thailand. That big dude manager 3 Alley has could be intimidating if you cross him in any way though. Maybe he's the problem so many are having with 3 Alley.

I didn't like the place across the street on the 2nd floor, but Seoul Pub is cool when it's not too crowded. Being too crowded blows donkey bits.

As for worst in Itaewon, they all were terrible on Christmas day with no one serving dinner, welcoming in lone foreigners nor being friendly in holiday cheer. ditto. It was the pits.

^^^^

Also agree wih 3 alley. Good venue and beers / food but they always try to rush you to buy more drinks and I've often turned my back for a moment to find my drink that still had a couple of inches left taken away and the constant 'can I get you anything else?' is annoying, I'll ASK when I want another drink silly... And what's up with the veranda being empty yet they wont let me and my mate sit there because ' we're busy so these tables are for large groups.'

Yeah but there's no-one here silly and if ppl come in, we'll move okay? Duh!

i'm not a fan of the clueless staff (took over 5 minutes to pour me an Erdinger once...they poured half and then hooked up a new keg...c'mon, i don't want that beer) and psychopath patrons (straight out of Dave's Current Events forums - IT WAS THE JEWS!!!) at Seoul Pub.

I have some happy memories of Seoul Pub, but really the loud drinking games the army guys ALWAYS play at the bar is more than a soul can stand.

3 Alleys is a tip.

3 Alley is still my favourite. Great beer, good food at sensible prices ... speedy and cheerful - even gleeful - service.

What more can you ask?

(But yes, the loud games can sometimes be a pain when in full flow)

3 Alleys is innocuous. I've never eaten there, actually. But I just think the lighting and the decor is low, low class.

almost every time I go into Seoul Pub there's a fight over something. Usually someone gets upset because they got accidentally skipped over to play pool or something, but people just act like idiots at Seoul Pub.
