Hey!
I've been in Seoul for a few months now and haven't made as many new friends as I'd hoped. It may be partly due to my age (35) and the fact that I'm not into the bar scene at all....
So I'm looking on here for other girls who would like to make a new friend...for impromptu dinners (in or out), coffee/tea, movies, just talking and hanging out, etc. I miss having close girlfriends in my neighbourhood to just chat with...who are relatively close to my age.
I have some Korean friends who are great, but I don't have any close friends who are expats...so that's why I'm looking for them here.
I live in Sincheon, between Jamsil and Gangnam. If you are a girl expat who lives in the Gangnam/Songpa area and would like to hang out, please pm me
Have a great day. |

There are Toastmasters clubs in Jamsil, COEX, and Gangnam that have a variety of Korean and foreign people who get together for a couple hours every week to practice public speaking, and then they usually have an after party. Lots of networking there. |

What are you into then?
Post a little more info and you might get a few more 'nibbles.'
With the weather getting nicer now, why not join a walking group or something similar.
I knew of one woman who was a similar age to you who joined some facebook group and she went around Korea, seeing the different sights and attractions with a group of like minded people. |

Thanks for the responses. I forgot to add that I work for an academy, so during the week I'm only available in the mornings.
As far as what I'm into...I have many different interests, many of which I mentioned above. Cooking, books, movies, etc. I also like yoga, natural health...but I don't really think that part matters so much, as long as we can enjoy each other's company. I really just want some girl friends who live close by so we can meet up for dinner/coffee/movies/hanging out.
I am not overly interested in something that is organized for big trips...it's more the day-to-day friendships that I'm looking for.
The walking group is interesting though...I'd really enjoy that. I haven't seen anything on meetup for walkers in this area. If you know of anything, please pass it along
Thanks for the tip about the Toastmasters...I'll see if I can find some information on that. |

Hey, I'm around that area and also around your age. Although I do enjoy drinking and going to bars, I enjoy other things too. Send me a pm! |
