Hi guys.

I'm going to be heading out to Korea in August. I'm going to be flying from the UK with Korean Air. My free baggage allowance is only one case at 20kg, which is certainly not enough considering I'm moving out there for a year!

I'm planning on packing wisely and using my hand luggage allowance to its fullest extent, but I'd like to take another suitcase at about 10-15kg with me.

Would it be best to take this case with me on the plane and face Excess Baggage charges or would it be better to have it shipped.

Any advice would be most appreciated! Thanks Smile

Shipping is almost always more expensive and more hassle than taking an extra bag with you.

That said, you get 20kg checked, 7kg hand carry + free allowance for your laptop case. 42kg is way too much (even for a year) and you seriously need to rethink your priorities and shed some weight.
