Getting documents notarised and apostilled tomorrow.

What i'd like to know is if i get my degrees notarised and apostilled can i then photocopy the stamped documents and use it for future applications for next year?

Or do i have to get each copy notarised and apostilled if i ever want to use them?

I'm guessing it's the latter but want to make sure before I spend 80 or so.

Degree - make a copy and the copy needs the apostille.

You CANNOT copy an apostille and then use the copy.

My state refused to apostille a copy of a diploma (as they rightly should) and required an original.

Make a copy of the original degree.
Have it notarized as a true copy of the original. (you will need to produce the original to get it certified).
You can then get an apostille for it.

If you send an original to K-immi you WILL lose it.
That is why they now require a certified true copy with an apostille.

All that said however, Kimmi will NOT accept a copy of your FBI CBC. They want the original with the apostille (and again, they WILL keep it - you will NOT get it back under any circumstances).

Dahu : as long as the copy of the degree is notarised they shouldn't refuse to apostille it.

Thanks for the advice.
I was assuming that i couldn't photocopy the documents once the had the stamps but just wanted to make sure before i shelled out so much money. Better safe than sorry and all that.
