Hello, I am clueless about smart phones and really want one before returning to Korea again. Should I buy an unlocked smart phone here and take it with me, or wait until I get to Korea again.
Any input is greatly appreciated. Phone suggestions as well.
Thanks. |

Ah, appreciated.
My problem was the cost. Is it cheaper/easier to just get one here, or one in Korea was the question I really had. |

depends on your level of cheap.
i think getting one there first and bringing it here is almost worst in every way. |

The unlocked iPhone 4 currently costs $649 in the US, $749 for 32GB.
What are the rates in Korea?
I know you can get the iPhone4 with a new contract and slowly pay it off in 2 years. I'm guessing the extra cost for an iPhone4 contract in Korea is about +20-30000 won a month, which comes out to 240000-360000 over 2 years for the phone.
Seems like getting the phone in Korea would be a better option if my price estimation is accurate. |
