Wow do you really need to do all this? http://www.ehow.com/how_5030814_multiple-entry-tourist-visa-china.html

I went to China last year and liked it a lot. One of the things I'm considering now is going over several times over the next year or so. Possibly focusing a lot of my vacation time there. Also, all their visas are the same price. I'd like to go again at least once, but I figure I have nothing to lose by applying for the multi entry. Unless of course there's a chance of it getting rejected (and me losing the fee money) because single entry for me would be a sure thing.

Anyone have any experience with this? I'm a US passport holder and have a previous Chinese visa. So I'm on the right track. So if I simply want to go back to China maybe a few times, and pay for a visa that will cost the same as going once anyway, then will I probably get it accepted?

Thanks if anyone knows about this!

My girlfriend and I tried to get a multiple-entry Visa in January for our trip to China. The travel agency told us we need need ten months left on our Alien Registration Card in order to get a multiple entry. (We only had eight months)

So we only got the single entry Visa. Of course they could have just made up the ten-month requirement. We don't know.

Thanks. Ya I heard something about that. But I also heard that can be waived if you have a previous China visa. Not sure if you did but I do in my case.

This ARC thing really gets me. Why does it matter how much time I have left on my ARC card when I am applying for a visa to China?
