If you have a car once a year you get a tax bill where you should pay:
1. 차동차세 (Car tax) I am fine with this I drive-I pay
2. 지방교육세 (Regional Education Tax) but I don't want to pay this tax, bcz I am not Korean, I don't get educational benefits like Koreans (kindergarten support from government etc)
This is not big amount, like 10Kwon, but I think foreigners in Korea should be free from this tax. |

Why? Koreans overseas aren't exempt from paying taxes like that there, so why should you be any different? Besides, what's stopping you from taking advantage of education benefits. I'm positive that that tax is not just for kindergarten support, but for education on the whole. Go take some classes somewhere, learn something, and get your taxes back! |

This is a silly thing to complain about.
Koreans who don't have children also don't "benefit" from this tax. But there's all kinds of taxes out there that pay for things that you never directly benefit from. How about that park that was built with tax money that you never visited? Or that road that you never drive on? What is the government thinking wasting my money like that!!
Taxes don't always directly benefit you, you might even be able to argue that they rarely do, but the idea is that they benefit society as a whole. A better educated population benefits everyone. It doesn't matter if your kids go to Kindergarten or not. |

Huh, Any classes in english ??? except Korean language give me some directions I am eager to learn, even some of government educational courses would not admit you bcz u dont have 주민등록증.
Once again this tax comes together with transportation tax, so foreigners who do not drive a cars do not pay. Why driver foreigners should pay??? |

| Did you know the cost of all oil-based fuels here (home use too) already contains a 10% education tax? |

| I tend to think that an educated populace is a benefit for me. That's why I don't have an issue with childless persons paying taxes marked for education in my home country. |
