Hi guys,

been awhile since I last posted. I have been living and working in Bundang for 3 mths since I arrived here in Korea at the end of March. Love the people here but have experienced trips to Seosan and Yangyang(east coast). With the stress and already unbearable teaching conditions I really want to get out and relax with my partner (Korean) in the country side. What are the possibilities? My contract states I need to give 8 weeks notice to quit! which is too much. Any other options of landing a job while still having one? Visa run?

My main question though is which is a great country town to live in. I quite like the east coast up near yang yang. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I've always thought Sokcho (속초) looked like a nice place to live. Right next to Seoraksan and the beach. Good air.

I've never lived there, though.

Yeah I was near Sokcho on the weekend...just a bit down actually and it was fantastic for surfing (probably the only place besides jeju/busan) and had such a relaxing atmosphere and the nicest people I have met in Korea (both Koreans and the few westeners surfing there that day). I loved it. I am now just trying to convince my gf to do the move!
