I refuse to be bothered with real estate agents visiting my apartment with potential clients to view it. After I get off work I come home and relax, etc. I don't like to be bothered by people coming in and out of my apartment while i'm home. I'n the states they don't lease the apartment out immediately after the previous tenant moved out. Apartment managers will hold off to alow people to come in and clean the place up either to steam clean the carpets or to do any necessary upgrades etc. I understand the building owner is trying lease the unit out with no lapse of vacancy. I compromised with my building owner by allowing access to my apartment while i'm at work between 9-4pm and on Sundays when i'm not home. I'm curious to know if others exercise their right to not allow people into their apartment on the last month of their lease. |

| It is a normal part of life in every part of the world for every person who rents. Don't be a dick, let people see your place. |

So the only people who are allowed to view your place are those who don't work? |

Hear, hear, and hope the OP doesn't whine when perhaps his joint isn't rented by others because of he doesn't want to be "bothered." |

| I'm not on here whining or trying to be a dick. I'm here to see if I should be more open minded about the situation. As i said in my original post where i'm from it isn't uncommon for people to exercise their right not to let people into their apartment at the end of their lease. If I was in the similar situation no I wouldn't whine about it because I can respect somebody for exercising their right. |

Just one of the downsides of being a tenant and not an owner. Anywhere in the world. Buy a home if you want to totally control who gets in or not.
On the other hand Three or four times in Korea I've had prospective tenants land on me with no notice and a grinning idiot estate agent turning the handle of my door without even knocking! |

I agree i've had similar situations. Recently a real estate agent came to my apartment asking for a one time favor of allowing him to show the apartment to a potential tenant at 8pm. The other time was on a Saturday morning close to 9am and another time I had just gotten out of the shower. |

| No I didn't pay the deposit. I do pay extra out of my own pocket because the housing allowance in a GEPIK contract isn't enough. Why do you ask? |

| Only by appointment and only if I'm there. Otherwise no I don't. If they are too busy/forget to set up an appointment...then I am too busy/forget to open the door. Takes only a couple of times for the message to sink home. |

| Voted only when I'm there, but that's just because I have cats that like to try and escape when the door is open. Otherwise I wouldn't care. |
