Hey,
I'm going to be finishing my Hagwon contract in December, and I want to go into public school teaching. I know it's a little late for the March semester, so I'd have to wait for next Fall. I guess my question is this: since arriving in Korea, I found out that I have a herniated disc. It's a pain in the butt (literally), but it doesn't affect my ability to teach or anything of that nature (it usually just hurts late at night and early in the morning). Will this negatively impact my ability to get a job? Is it something that I have to preface in my applications? Any advice?
I haven't gotten surgery on it because it's not painful all the time and I understand that 1/4 people have a recurrence after surgery. When I go back home I'm going to do more serious treatment, but I wanna know if anyone has any experience with this sort of thing. |

To the OP.
Yeah, I think the other posters have this right. Unless you have a direct issue teaching I'd keep it to yourself.
