Quote:
A diplomat from the North Korean Mission to the UN, which is notorious for not returning calls from the Western media, called Fox News to say that complaints about the appointment of their nation to lead the Conference on Disarmament are just the continuation of the Western mindset that refuses to acknowledge that the Democratic Republic of Korea (North Korea) is fighting for disarmament.

This almost seems more like a parody than news.

That's nothing...see who's chaired the UN Human Rights Council and who are some of the member states.

This is why I don't take the UN that seriously anymore.

South Africa is an abusive hell hole. Admittedly now that it's blacks doing the abusing rather than whites that doesn't seem to matter much to most people, but it doesn't make it less true.

Who cares?

Don't let the name fool you. All Presidents in the UN do is chair the forum and really have no say or power over anything. I wouldn't be shocked if some people voted the DPRK as chair so they wouldn't be able to talk as much.
