Hi,
Is it possible to leave Korea for a vacation without cancelling my F-5 visa application.
I called the immigration office and I was told that I cannot leave Korea until my F-5 visa processing is complete. He told me that if I leave i have to cancel my application |

I got the same answer when doing paperwork for f2-99. Told have to apply after i returned since they hold your ID card during the process. |

Okay... I am the GURU on this.
Got my F2-99 and then F5.
What you guys have been told is correct.
My Father died during my F5 application. I was told that I could not leave Korea without cancelling my F5 application. They were not interested in the slightest about a death in the family.
The rule stands...apply for F2-99 or F5 and you have to remain in the country or cancel your application and re-apply at a later stage. |
