I lived and worked in Korea from 1993-1998. My wife is Korean and we were married in Pusan LONG before the F2 Visa ever existed. We are considering moving back in the not too distant future. I am a teacher in Maryland, certified in English and Special Education. I also have a Master's Degree.
1) My plan is to land a University job and work for the duration of my contract. Then, live off of legal and legitimate private lessons. QUESTION... Is this plan realistic? How much won per hour could I expect to make doing privates?
2) The only reason why we stay in MiGuk is because of our kids (13yr old girl/9yr old boy). My wife refuses to send our kids to Korean school/hogwans for 10 hrs a day/6 days a week and foreign school is too expensive. Anybody out there have kids and how do you educate them? |

Get a job in an international school. Remuneration packages are decent and free or significantly reduced for your kids.
Network from there and do as you see fit.
