Does anyone know of anywhere I can book a package holiday - flights/hotel together? Whenever I have contacted Travel Agents here, they just seem to offer flights. It always works out really expensive to book flights and accommodation separately. I'm looking to go somewhere over the Christmas week, but booking hotels on their own are so expensive!

Thanks Smile

You ARE aware that package deals here are NOT the same as package deals from home.

In Korea a package would be a fully escorted tour. Look for Mode Tour, HanaTour (the two biggest) at your nearest Korean travel agent or on-line.

Anywhere over the Christmas holiday WILL cost you an arm and a leg. Plan on about 700k won for air and 100k won per day of travel (room, entertainment and domestic travel) for most destinations in Asia.

(you can always bring back anything you don't spend. Cash doesn't go bad even if you don't refrigerate it.) It sucks to run short of cash when you are on holiday.

IF you want to save money, look NOW for discount airline tickets (and keep watching for the seat sales) and get your accommodation when you get where you are going.

Accommodation in Asia / SE Asia is almost ALWAYS (with very few exceptions) cheaper on the ground than it is on-line and for the vast majority of destinations there is usually no problem finding a room.

Thanks for the replies. So you can't buy a flight/room bundle package anywhere? I'm thinking Hong Kong, but really open to suggestions. I guess it comes down to price. If Thailand or anywhere else has similar prices, then i'd go there. Hong Kong seems to have reasonable flights on Cebu Pacific, but it means a stop off in Manila which is quite annoying.

Are there any English speaking/websites package-holiday providers? Even if they are different, it's probably still something I'd like to look in to.

Thanks again

You're going to spend significantly more doing a package to SEA than you will if you just roll in and figure things out on your own. If you insist on doing so, you can book hotel+flight on any of the major bargain websites (expedia, travelocity, cheaptickets, etc.), but I really, really recommend against it.
