I think that's the name of the store... I have a gift certificate I want to spend today. Can anyone tell me where it is? I don't go to Myeongdong too often, and every street looks the same to me... |

It's not easy to give directions, but it's actually on the edge of namdaemun and you have to walk a couple more blocks before you get to myeongdong. Once you get to the general vicinity, it's easy enough to just ask others where Shinsaegae is. They'll point you to the right direction and the building is huge so it's hard to miss. |

If you have a Shinsegae gift certificate, you should be able to use it at any Shinsegae (of which there are many, check the website) or EMart. |

E-Mart? Really?
As for the first part... I thought I saw that there are only two Shinsaegae locations in Seoul (Myeongdong and somewhere in Gangnam)...?? |

Three, those two and Yeongdeungpo, as well as one in Yongin, if you live in the south burbs somewhere.
Shinsegae owns EMart, I've always used my Shinsegae gift certificates there. |

That's good to know.
I got some Hyundai certificates on teacher's day. Any idea if those can be used elsewhere? |

I think you can use those at some restaurants, though I'm not sure. It should say on the back, if you have someone who can help you. |

There are often shops nearby where you can cash out gift certificates for department stores for something like 92-96,000 won out of 100,000 won. Keep an eye out for Lotto places right around just about any given department store and you should be in luck. |

Wow, really? How do I identify those shops? I'd much rather have 45,000 or 40,000 WON than some overpriced accessory I don't at all need... |
