|
|
Hello folks..
I already have a visa in place for my return to Korea, but I have a hypothetical question about my visa renewal in a year's time..
Just recently I've been issued with a court summons wherein I've been charged with "driving without due care and attantion". Whether or not I'm guilty (I'm not, by the way), it appears that the chances are that I'll be found so are almost a nailed-on certainty (as one of the "witnesses" is an off-duty police officer).
Nobody was hurt, and there was no drink or drugs involved, but I have been told that the conviction will appear on any subject access record issued in the future.
Question is, will such a driving conviction not involving death, injury, drink or drugs mean that my visa will not be renewed in a years' time? The case is due to be heard while I'm in Korea and will show on my next subject access record.
Anyone have an insight? I'm freaking out. |

IF you have a visa AND K-immi has your apostilled CBC on file then you should be good for 10 years from date of receipt.
If they do NOT have an apostilled CBC on file you will likely lose your visa at renewal in 2012.

I have, and they do. So I should be good? I don't intend leaving Korea (other than on vacation) for a LONG time.
Where are you in Korea, ttompatz? If what you said is right, I'm going to find and kiss you. |
