I have been reading and asking questions about recruiters, but now I need to know what a good contract looks like. I know what hours I am looking for, the location; but, I am flexible on age group, school size. Can I expect to get between 2.2 and 2.5 million if I have 4 years experience, CELTA, B.A.? What things should I look at regarding the contract? Are there any red flags? What should I know before I start getting hounded by recruiters? What makes a good contract besides matching my wants with their needs?

there is a sticky and a link to another similar thread with (combined) about 200 pages of contracts (good and bad) and critiques of them all.

Spend a few hours reading through some of it and you will have a very good understanding of what should be, what should not be, what is legal and what is not legal for labor contracts in Korea.

If you are one of those with the excuse that you don't have time to spend a few hours going through it then you don't have the time to spend a year in Korea (or worse yet, you get what you deserve for not spending a couple hours doing it).

THE CONTRACT REVIEW THREAD: Post yours here for a review

Man, you really want people on this forum to do everything for you? You have posted thread after thread asking questions that fairly easy searching would answer in a few minutes.

And seriously. Look at the contract sticky. It's right there in front of all these other topics.

Before I came here, I spent a lot of time reading and basically no time posting. The information is there but you have to make some effort. Asking people here to handhold you on every little thing does not count as effort.

I prefer the guy who has never stepped foot in the country to be asking questions rather than answering them, which puts the OP on significantly better footing than some active posters.

Do not reply anymore buddy. You are obviously upset by my questions. Yes, there are threads, thank you. I am new to this eslcafe thing, and I don't want people to do my work for me. Go find someone else to hassle with your deal. Sometimes, I find answers elsewhere, but by then, my question has been posted, why do I have to tell you this, you probably know everything anyway.

Then what I suggest is that you talk to 10 recruiters who will give you 3-5 offers. Choose some of those that you like (1-5 should be enough). Then put them in order of best to worst contracts in your opinion.

Post the best one in the contract thread here. Re-evaluate after you get a few responses.
