My boss called the Incheon immigration office today and was told that I could extend 1 time for up to two years without handing in a criminal background check (my current visa expires soon and I'm still waiting on the FBI). The next time I extend I would need the background check. I have already extended my current visa 2 months then transferred and extended it three times. So now I have worked on this visa for 50 months. I have read on this forum that Americans can only receive the pension refund for the first 5 years. If I extended for the 2 year max, after 10 months would I just stop paying into pension or what.
Does any of this sound legit??
