The yearly 3-week rains from the southwest, as part of the Indian Ocean originated Monsoon system ends this week. The typhoon season doesn't start in South Korea until mid-August (though some lesser tropical storms from the southeast may come, they are not technically typhoons). Every year it's like clockwork, give or take a week. The best time to head to the beaches of this country is the last two weekends of July and first two weekends of August, any later being hit and miss.

Kinda like this weather with a normal level of humidity and cool breeze after sunset. Nice fresh mornings too!

We will have significant amount of rainfall on Thursday. kma also shows rain for Saturday and next week Monday and Tuesday. The amount is not specified. This is for Seoul.

So much for the end of the monsoon...

Another sh이tload of rain will reach the Northern part of the country very soon. Down south it's been pouring all day. On the radar there are spots with 40-50 mm/hour intensity. At some stations the daily precipitation has reached over 200 mm!
