Ok so I have all my documents finished. I was wondering if I have to go to the Korean Embassy to get my visa finalized or if that stuff can be done through mail and coordination with the school? And if I have to go is it in DC?

Once you have the visa issuance number from your school, you can mail your documents to the consulate in Atlanta (presuming you're in NC as a Tarheel fan). All of the necessary documents and procedures are on the link.

I am curious how long does it take to complete the visa process, if you have all of your documents but do not need to do the in person interview?

Oh and I meant to say that you need to send your documents to the school for them to arrange your visa issuance number.... THEN you go to the consulate.

The documents your school needs varies. It's usually apostilled diploma copy, apostilled FBI copy, passport sized pictures, resume, etc.
