I got my apostilles in California for my CBC and degree, They total three pages. The first page is the apostille, the second is the notice of authenticity from the country clerks office, the last is the notarized copy of certification. (Chronologically I got the third page last and then the second page, etc.) These three documents aren't attached to my degree or CBC, they basically stand alone as a packet of three papers. Is this normal? The last page (notarized copy of certification) describes the documents, though loosely. Is this normal or do I have to staple my degree and CBC to the packet of papers I just described?

Hmmm-
something about that doesn't sound right, but maybe it is.

First-the CBC has to be Federal, meaning an entire country FBI one where fingerprints were taken.
The Apostilled document should look like this:2 pages; Apostille on top-kind of an off white cream color, and the 2nd page should be the FBI CBC; light blue in color. It's attached with one of those round punture staple thingys.

The Degree Apostille could be 2 or 3 pages-depends on the state.
Both of my degrees are attached to the apostille.

One has a gold seal over the staple, but the other is just stapled.

I'd change the title of your post to something California Specific--I think more folks will read it, and you can get your specific question answered.

Good Luck!

yeah, basically, it is a california problem. Or maybe a state apostille problem. Either way I just ended up stapling it myself (the degree to the notarized oath, and the cbc to the other notarized oath). How it looks right now is page 1 apostille, page 2 county clerks notary authentication, page 3 notarized oath saying it is a true copy, page 4 is degree or 2 page CBC.

I am going to send it in the mail today and hope for the best and I hope that whoever thought of this apostille bullshit gets some fucked up disease.
