Selling my decks due to constant grief from the neighbors.
2 x Pioneer 800's = 1million
Play buttons are a little fader, but all in good working order. |

To OP:
Out of interest, what are the prices of new decks like out there?
Have you found vinyls easy to come by etc? |

Vinyl is virtually impossible as far as I am aware.... It is available, but limited. At the end of the day you can always import, but the price is ridiculous.
With timecode available.... Vinyl will never be a part of Korean dancefloors |

This is a pretty decent price, if they're MK2s. The 800s are kind of being phased out as Pioneer makes more digital friendly decks.
I just bought a pair of the new CDJ 850s which are supposed to kind of hit a sweet spot between the current 800s/1000s with some digital support (USB ports, can be used as controllers for Traktor/Serato, etc.) for just over a million each.
A mil for the pair sounds okay. |

not looking to buy - but just as an FYI... this is a great price for CDJs
DJ equipemtn is not cheap or easy to come buy in korea. i picked up some technics turntables from a guy on here, with a vestax scratch mixer and shure carts as well - i havent seen any set up comparable to this since.
i see alot of serato itch style midi mixers - this would seemt o be the way korea is going dj-ing wise. the OP was right in saying vinyl culture will never pick up here.
that said - you can buy records with a little searching around.
in Busan - theres a 2nd hand record store near Nampo-dong. i have a photo of the store, ill try and upload it as i cant remember exactly where the shop is - but if you want old western and korean records from the 60s/70s/80s, thats the place to go. |

Yes, good price for MK2s. I pondered selling off my DJ Equipment (CDJ-800MK2s) and just couldn't do it. I don't care what the newest CDJs are, I'll always love my MK2s. The feel can't be beat.
Considering I paid like 1 million won for each of those damn things, selling them at 500,000 won each just depresses me now! I think they're worth more as CDJs than money
Anyways, can't believe those haven't sold yet. People, these CDJs are awesome. For 1 million they're a steal. |
