They're the cheapest and I'm starting a small export buisness that will ship many items out of the country.

Anybody ever dealt with them on the Korean side? Do they have offices in Seoul, or will a post office allow me to use their service?

I have used EMS to send documents out of the country. I did it at the post office.

Just go to the post office.

For cost effective however, small packet air service is cheaper and just about as quick and is also trackable (green labels instead of the multi-color EMS ones.

To compare the cost and duration of both air and EMS, depends on the country. EMS is almost always faster, and is usually more expense then air.

If you go to the post office, you can get info on air service for the different regions of the world. On the Koreapost website you can get a quote for a package depending on weight and destination. EMS can do pick up, where regular air post is only available at the post office.

Through my experience with both for work while posting things around the world, EMS has been more reliable and faster, and I don't bother with air service anymore.

In addition, when you visit a post office, you'll also encounter references to 'EMS Premium.' Unlike ordinary EMS between national postal services, the 'Premium' service is just another name for TNT.

I think the USPS used to offer something years ago, but since that service has left, EMS is the best service in S. Korea now. Learn enough Korean to handle sending a package, unless you live in Seoul or somewhere where people speak a little English.
