On the medical... they do test your liver apparently.
So.. what happens if your liver is bad shape?? I know that for Hep virus they like to kick you out (contagious).
But what if your liver is in a bad way for other reasons? If you have end stage liver disease do you get chucked out?
On another note, seems like all the drinking that happens in Korea liver failure would be all over the place. |

If you have end stage liver disease, is this necessarily the place you want to be?
I doubt NHIC covers liver transplants (could be mistaken)... |

People with end stage liver disease can lead normal lives for many years.

I have no idea. It's free in my country (NHS). |

It is in the blood test, they test for elevated liver enzymes.
almost any blood test in any country will test for a wide array of problems/diseases |

I honestly don't know the specifics, but what I do know is that they don't like lying.
for an E2 you have to fill out a health questionnaire (http://www.gone2korea.com/document-downloads/Health-Statement.pdf)
and then complete a health check. and if they find out you falsified info on the questionnaire they can revoke your visa and kick you out.
I don't know your specific situation on why your liver has a problem, but the only thing on the questionnaire that might affect you is the "Have you had any serious diseases" |

Your best bet is to be honest on the form, tell them about the condition and if they reject you chalk it up as their loss and look for something/somewhere else.
Lying on the form, getting here, something showing up on a test and then having them kick you out would be a nightmare not worth enduring. |
