Is there a great shoe store in Korea?

I need a running shoe with pronation control, good arch support and stability.

The biggest trouble is shoe size? Nothing above a size 10.

Getting desperate. Should I try Itaewon?

Thanks much.

Buy on the internet from your home country. Everyone ships internationally (though it might be better to come from a family member remailed to you)

+1

I've wasted a LOT of money in Korea buying shoes that I eventually tossed because of size. Even shopping in Itaweon doesn't really do it. Western sizes are different, period. Get them from your home country, especially if you're a runner.

I'm a size 11 US, and am able to get running shoes on close-out discount fairly easily at certain times during the year. That said, 11 seems to be at the top end of what size they sell here in most places, and is often why I can snag a discounted one that wouldn't sell (due to size). I usually buy Nikes when they are a season out of style and 40,000 won or so. I could care less if I don't have the newest thing.

The arch support thing-- yeah, I'm with you there. But I noticed that the shoes in the USA don't have much for support anymore, either. You have to purchase inserts for that. I believe those can be found around Seoul. I've seen them, but can't remember where.
