I've been in and out of home markets for a few years. Riding the waves mostly. I've worked a little FX and some CDs.

But right now, the KOSPI is waaaay down. It might slip a bit more, but eventually it will rebound. So now (or the very near future) might just be the time to get in - amazingly enough "buy low, sell high" really does work.

So, I'm not sure on the laws with trading in the KOSPI and it might just be easier to have someone manage an account for me. I'm not looking to squeeze every penny out of it, so paying a fee to a broker is okay with me.

Does anyone know of foreigner friendly brokers here? Not just someone who speaks English, but someone who knows the law as it pertains to foreigners investing?

Do you have an online account with a platform like iii.co.uk or other which allows you to trade in stocks online?

If so, an alternative to investing in single stocks would be to invest in a fund from your Western trading account such as an emerging markets or Far East fund which will allow you to tap into the low prices.
