I had a student from Nepal in one of my classes. It was sort of funny, because she'd talk about anything and everything in class, but her grammar grades were poor. That was a tough class of non-interested majors (Dance, Sewing, etc.), but she would just talk a blue streak after looking around the room to see if anyone else would speak first.
