OK, I have a single entry Visa from Canada and was hoping to go on vacation....I know you need a multiple entry visa but I just got my health check back so I don't have my ARC card yet. Is is possible to obtain a stamp that allows me back in the country without voiding my E2 visa? I heard the requirements changed so if you have a Single entry Visa they allow multiple entries WITH your ARC....I don't have an ARC but was hoping I could still travel in and out this one time, then apply for a multiple entry before my next vacation. |

Until you get your ARC you cannot leave the country without voiding your visa.
AFTER you get your ARC you are free to come and go as you please (multi-entry or re-entry permits are not longer issued or required).
You can ask at your local immigration office about a re-entry permit while you are waiting for your ARC but don't count on it - historically they ALWAYS refused (but historically it only took a week to get an ARC and not a month or two like it does currently).

hmm ok I've called Daegu's immigration office. They advised us to submit our paperwork for the ARC tomorrow morning and bring with us our ticket to vietnam. They can provide us with a receipt to show the airline when we are leaving..but no gaurantees...I'm going to see if I can get a written note from the immigration office saying I'm using it in place...hopefully that will help. |
