|
|
Here is the deal:
I was hired and have a job lined up. I had to delay my departure because of an illness.
The recruiter I was working with got a bit snippy and now says I must pay for my own ticket and the school will reimburse me upon arrival. I really don't have a problem with that but I'd like to spend as little as possible out of pocket. Since I've already been issued the E2 visa, will it be a problem (immigration, airline, etc.) to get a one way ticket? |

It should be fine with immigration because you already have a visa,
but the airline is the one you have to worry about.
Ask your ticket agent before you pay. |

No one should get a round-trip ticket. It makes no sense. |

It makes no sense, but some airlines will try and force you to buy one.
It happened to me on my first time to Korea, flight was Air Canada/Korean Air.
I had no visa though, so that might make the difference. |

An exit ticket is NOT required if you hold an E2 visa.
If the airline counter agent gives you a hard time, ask for a supervisor.
